The business side deserves support, too.

officeHours started close to home. My wife is a therapist, and seeing the business side of her practice made me want to understand what support was missing. Caring for clients is only part of running a practice.

I started talking with other Ontario therapists in solo and group practice. The same things kept coming up: receipts gathered in a yearly scramble, uncertainty about deductions, and little preparation for any of it in school. Those conversations are shaping what I’m building.

I studied economics with a concentration in finance, and I work as a software developer building AI-powered products. officeHours brings that background together with what I’m learning from practitioners about their day-to-day needs.

I’m not an accountant or a tax professional. I’m building a tool to make ongoing bookkeeping easier and the handoff to your accountant clearer, informed by research into the rules that affect Ontario therapists. It’s still in development, and it won’t replace professional advice or decide what you can deduct.

Bookkeeping is where we’re starting, not where we’re stopping. What comes next will be shaped by conversations with practitioners like you. If you’d like to follow along, join the waitlist for occasional updates and future pilot invitations.
